Three College Friends fly to Cancun for a girlfriend’s getaway!
Over the Memorial Day weekend, I visited the Live Aqua Resort and Spa in Cancun.
This is an all inclusive, beautiful beachfront resort right in the hotel district of Cancun. It is truly lovely, with a nice beach, beautiful infinity pools, wonderfully, warm staff with decent food and drinks. This property has recently been renovated. It definitely has a zen vibe with scent infusers throughout the property. Cool, smaller restaurants throughout the resort located under trees, and outdoors add to the fun, beautiful setting.
The Spa at the resort is excellent and well priced. Be sure to enjoy the whirlpool after your service. We had massages while there. One of the best massages I’ve had in awhile.
The resort does have one shop on premise with a variety of nice items. There is a Starbucks located inside the shop. For those shoppers in the mix, two malls are within walking distance. Both Luxury and mainstream. Know your pricing though as some items are a savings vs US prices and some are not. Cosmetics seem to be discounted vs US. The Victoria’s Secret store was not and extremely overpriced vs US stores.
As a girlfriend’s getaway, this place is great. A sectioned off bathroom allows 3 to use the bathroom and sinks. Beds are very comfortable; we had an oceanfront room with two double beds and one rollaway.
This hotel was recently renovated; it is beautiful. Staff couldn’t be nicer with smiles everywhere! Food was decent; be sure to get a smoothie with Marco in the morning at the buffet!
Definitely worth the trip!
